The Forum executive is very aware of the lack of facilities for young people, especially in lower St Leonards [Central St Leonards ward] and has a representative dedicated to speaking into Council and Government initiatives for youth provision. The outcome of around 12 meetings over the last year is an assurance of funds for the refurbishment of the Skate Park at White Rock in 2009/10.
The Young People’s group of the Forum is designed to act as a focal point for them to bring their concerns and expectations, which can then be taken on via many routes to the different providers within Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council. Suggestions made by a number of young people at a recent meeting are currently being assessed, with the hope that they will be viable.

- Play sessions in Gensing gardens
- Children's cinema at The Rooms
- The opening of new youth clubs
